| Does the Key to Verification Success Lie in the Language, Methodology, or Somewhere In-Between? | |
Sponsored by: Cadence Design Systems, Inc. There has been a lot discussion on verification languages over the past few years as critical enablers for customers to improve overall verification of their designs. As the demand for more advanced enterprise-wide verification solutions continues to rise with complexity, methodology has also become extremely important. In reality, languages and methodologies need to take into account all of the project goals, and leverage the various forms of technology from testbench automation, formal analysis, management, and verification engines to get to predictable project closure. With so many risks and variables involved in the verification process, design and verification teams need to be working in an ecosystem that features best practices and leverages the strengths of various high-level languages, incremental and advanced methodologies, and accounts for all the technology and verification IP available. This lunch panel will discuss how important verification language is relative to adopting the right methodology, and what factors should be considered when adopting a new verification language or methodology. Various experts in the field, as well as several designers dealing with these decisions in real world situations, will be featured. |
